Dev-Day for SSP

  • too little number of participants for meeting on site, no benefit in hybrid meeting (in comparison to the already planned testing day)
  • postpone next concall to one week after the SSP

JIRA issues status

  • Some progress but nothing significant to note
  • mostly all tickets from the previous sprint were copied
  • Reasons for little progress?
    • Conflicting work prevents from making progress
    • Insufficient visibility of progress w/r/t new features as mostly only bugs are tracked
  • Can we increase the visibility?
    • Tracking of new features in Jira as well
      • Would facilitate creating change logs on release
      • But: ticket in shared issue tracker might prevent discussion on necessity / benefit of new feature
      • Features concerning Palladio projects should be tracked (ideally every PR on Github should have an issue assigned)
  • Should we further use the Concall to increase discussion among all participants
    • Suggestion: Shortly discuss current extensions in progress in Palladio Concall
      • instead use Research Meeting?
        • for research questions / high level discussion, yes.
        • for technical aspects the concall would be a suitable venue
      • limited to 5 minutes and defer further discussion
      • increase visibility of new features / changes
      • every body decides whether own contribution qualifies for presentation
    • Suggestion 2: Introduce kind of standup for tickets
      • Shortly summarize progress of Palladio work (1-2 minutes)
      • Identify aspects relevant to discuss extensively
      • No pressure (the answer "no progress" should be completely valid)

Next Concall

  • will take place on 16.11.2021
  • depending on agenda we will evaluate both suggestions to increase discussion
  • TODO for everyone: Further think about, what constitutes a successful concall?
    • What would be benefitial for me to discuss?
