- New default engine?
- Palladio session at Klausurtagung
- State of Github migration of Simulizar
Usage of bwCloud and usage of Github OAuth
- Found volunteers: Max Scheerer (bwCloud) and Dominik Werle (OAuth)
- Future of bwCloud
- funding until 2019/2020 seems to be available
- probability of discontinuing the service is low because of increased interest in service
- load in regions is pretty high
- might be non-free at some time but should be ok
- guys from Kiel already use bwCloud, we could ask them for advice/experiences
Future of simulators
- SimuCom is deprecated
- Simulizar will be the default simulator
- Things to be done before changing the default simulator
- Automated creation of measuring points (there should be a default option that creates the same points as used by SimuCom)
- UI has to be streamlined with remaining Palladio features and the documentation has to be improved
- Requires defining common use cases and providing abilities for them in the UI
- Effort estimated to one bachelor's thesis
- Future work in Simulizar
- Support for reliability analysis (ongoing)
- Improvement of architecture (e.g. usage of extension points to define the interpretation of annotations)
- Roadmap
- US needs half to one year until real work can be done by students
- Stakeholders at KIT/FZI could be Christian Stier and Sebastian Krach
- to be discussed at next Klausurtagung
Palladio session at Klausurtagung
- We should aim for a Palladio slot
- breakout group might not be appropriate because the group will be too big
- whole session would be better, other research groups could do the same?
- discuss possible agenda in next research group meeting (AbQP)
State of Github migration of Simulizar
- Fully migrated to Github, SVN sources no longer available
- Build runs on Github sources
Next Concall
- Short concall on February, 12th to discuss potential agenda of Palladio slot
