Delayed Palladio release

• Release: Sirius 5.0.2 necessary for Oxygen Support

  • Due to holidays, Palladio release not realistic before 22.09.

  • Amine checks issue with editors (and resolves it, or assigns it, if he has no time)

Additional editor features

• Four limitation / enhancement possibilities identified during production of Palladio screencasts
  • Display connectors in Allocation view as separate layer
    • Currently not displayed
    • Possible, but low priority --> feature request
  • Drag and drop between different view points
    • e.g. create assembly context by dragging component from repository to system
    • interesting feature, technical feasibility must be validated
    • --> new feature request
  • "Quick-tools"
    • simplified creation of connectors comparable to GMF editors
      • when hovering over component, display of draggable elements to create new connectors
    • Hint: hold CTRL to keep tool selected in editor, e.g. to create multiple connectors without having to select the tool again (Misha)
      • Verified by Misha
  • Automated (implicit) assemblage of component
    • For simple unambiguous cases the system model could be derived from repository
    • Use cases?

Parent interfaces

• Misha: decision against editor support.
  • OCL constraint blocks validation if parent interface containes SEFF
    • No SEFF for operation which is not contained in one of the directly provided interfaces
    • Due to bug (?) in OCL constraints connectors can only interconnect roles of the exact same interface
• Simulator support is crucial
  • Sebastian: Simulizar should not be problematic, as interfaces are not directly relevant during simulation
  • Simucom: (Deprecated!) Templates need to be adapted, nevertheless, should not be problematic
• Possibly requires litte effort if we did not miss essential aspects
  • Next concall again.

Update Palladio Drop issue

• Misha created issue concerning the nighly drop not being updatable
  • https://sdqbuild.ipd.kit.edu/jira/browse/PALLADIO-425
  • Should be fixed before release
