Motivation
Safety analysis is a critical aspect of product development in various domains such as automotive, aerospace, and healthcare. However, using multiple safety analysis models for different aspects of these products creates challenges in integrating and comparing them. This thesis aims to address this issue by converting multiple safety analysis models (Core, General, FTA, FMEA, STPA) into a single monolithic metamodel using Ecore. The resulting framework will enable more efficient comparison and composition of different safety analysis models, leading to improved product development and reduced costs associated with safety analysis.
Tasks
- Research existing approaches for converting different modeling languages into a unified format. Define the metamodel schema by identifying common elements across the RAAML profiles.
- Convert each RAAML profile into a corresponding Ecore metamodel using the defined schema as a guide.
- Integrate the converted metamodels into a single monolithic metamodel.
Tools/Technology
- EMF, Java, Model-Model Transformation
Benefits
- Working with cutting-edge and innovative technologies
- Close connection to on-going/current research project
- Excellent working environment and intensive support
