Motivation
Vitruvius is a framework for preserving consistency across models. At its core it relies on a Virtual Single Underlying Model (VSUM), in which consistency‑preservation rules are defined between the metamodels from which the individual models are instantiated. A major challenge in developing complex, interdisciplinary systems (such as cyber‑physical systems) is keeping the various model aspects (structural, behavioural, and functional) synchronized. This work is aimed at addressing this challenge by extending the VSUM with BPMN and SysML and by formulating explicit consistency‑preservation rules for some concrete case studies.
Tasks
Tasks would belong to the following listed items:
- Investigating synchronization strategies between SysML and BPMN
- Developing case studies to use Vitruvius for consistency preservation between SySML and BPMN.
Benefits
- Working with cutting-edge and innovative technologies
- Close connection to ongoing/current research project
- Excellent working environment and intensive support
